Here is how you can get free kindle books.

We love free things, especially free kindle books. There really are only two ways you can get free kindle books—legally at least—but we’ll mention an additional method.

1. Kindle Unlimited

The first way is to get an Amazon Kindle Unlimited account. The account costs $9.99 USD per month, but you can read as many titles as you wish—it’s unlimited as the name suggests. There are millions of titles you can choose from, and thousands of audiobooks.

Furthermore, you don’t need a Kindle device to read those free titles, you can simply download the free Kindle reading app on any device and begin reading your titles of choice. Additionally, Amazon usually has free 30-day trials, so, if you don’t like it, you can cancel anytime. Here is their FAQ if you have additional questions.

In addition, you can read free previews of many Kindle titles. Visit our Author’s Leak page to read free previews along with the Author’s Leak—the story behind the story. If you like it enough, you may just have to buy it, or read it free if the title is offered with Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited!

We do however recommend reading on the Kindle Paperwhite.

2. Project Gutenberg

The second way really is 100% free! It’s called Project Gutenberg, and how they like to say it, “it’s gratis, libre, and completely without cost to readers.” They have over sixty-thousand titles to choose from. Moreover, they have a top-100 list and a recently added list. You can find free titles such as: A Christmas Carol, The Time Machine, The Power of Words, and so many more!

Additionally, Project Gutenberg doesn’t require special applications to read the free eBooks on their website. All you need is your browser or any eBook reader. We do, however, recommend using a good reading app, like the Kindle app. That way you can easily bookmark and return where you left off the next time you launch the app.

3. Scribd

Third notable mention that makes the list is Scribd. They are a competitor to Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited plan with similar plans and costs. They usually have free 30-day trials as well.

There you have it. Three ways to enjoy many titles on your kindle, and one of those ways, really is 100% free. Download the free Kindle reading app today and enjoy reading thousands of titles.
